The 8th Annual Akhtar-Brenner Lecture on Psychoanalysis was held at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA on October 2, 2013, presented by Michael Vergare MD Senior Vice President, Academic Affairs and Daniel Lieberman Professor and Chairman Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior.

The esteemed speaker was Deborah Cabaniss, MD, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Columbia University Department of Psychiatry, with a talk entitled, “The Centrality of Formulation.”
